Hi! I'm Angie! I am a wife, mother of 3 awesome kids, and a longtime vegan.

I work really hard to be more than a picture taker. I like to call myself a picture maker. I anticipate moments and act quickly. I see the bigger picture and the tiny details. I want my pictures to evoke emotion, especially joy and wonder. I also want my images to be thought provoking. I'd much prefer to be called a storyteller than an artist.

If I won the lottery, I'd buy land and rescue animals for the rest of my life (along with making pictures, of course).

I like people and we should be friends and if you don't like me, please don't tell me because it will hurt my feelings.

I believe sunsets and sunrises are gifts that, when witnessed, need to be acknowledged and admired.

I believe that about rainbows too.

I love imperfection. Like a wild haired portrait, a chocolate ring around a child's mouth, dirty shoes, grass stains, real life stuff. The kinds of things that tell a story.

Cilantro is very very very bad.

When I see a butterfly, I feel like it's my little reminder that everything will be okay. They always seem to appear when I'm feeling overwhelmed.

The funniest thing in the world to me is when chewing gum falls out of people's mouths. I don't know why, but I can just think about it and I will start cracking up. The best is when they aren't even talking and it just falls out for no reason. I feel like if you have had the honor to witness such an event in your life, you've lived a full life.

I will always find entertainment in blowing up balloons and letting them zip around the room as they deflate.

Chocolate is my coffee, my wine, and my drug.

Very often I will jump out at one of my kids or my husband to frighten them. I know that it's more fun for me than it is for them, but I can't help it. My soul needs to be fed that cheap entertainment periodically.

Cats are my favorite and they help to slow me down by forcing themselves onto me. I am thankful for cats, especially lap cats. Oh, and I also love sticking my finger in their mouths while they are in mid yawn. The look of surprise on their face when their mouth closes is priceless.

I like to run but I pretty much say bad words in my head when I'm doing it because it's hurts sometimes and especially uphill.

My favorite sport is softball. I feel like Al Bundy when I think about my softball glory days. Do you remember Al Bundy? Did I just reveal how ancient I am? How about Uncle Rico? Same thing, different character. Hopefully you get what I mean. Anyway, I currently play softball  with a coed league through the parks and rec. It's fun and scary.

I'm a hair twirler. Like, majorly.

I'm a native Californian. I once lived in Seattle for 8 months. No sun for this native Californian didn't work out very well.

And last but not least, I am obsessed with Harry Potter. The books and the movies.
